Initial Acupuncture Treatment: Acupuncture is the gentle insertion of tiny hair-like needles into acupuncture points on the body. Our bodies are very much like a “circuit board” whereby all the organ systems (our liver, kidneys, lungs, intestines, gallbladder, heart) all connect throughout the body via the acupuncture points along these circuit boards, called meridians or channels. The body has several “circuit boards.” For example our blood vessel system, nervous system, lymphatic system, all connect to the brain in one form or another.
Acupuncture opens up these circuit boards/pathways and allows circulation of energy and blood to flow evenly-nourishing our whole
body. When the pathways are open there is no disease. When the pathways/circuit boards are blocked, or unbalanced you feel sick. Acupuncture restores the circuit boards which interact with our brain chemistry bringing us homeostasis/ balance and health.
